Courtney A. Parecki

Courtney is licensed to practice law in Texas state courts and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.  She also holds inactive licenses in Arizona, Virginia and Washington, D.C.  Courtney graduated from The Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law in 2004.  Upon graduation, she clerked for a federal district judge in Arizona and then joined the Phoenix office of a large, national litigation firm where her practice focused primarily on products liability and medical negligence defense.  Courtney was unanimously voted into the firm’s partnership in 2012, and she thereafter relocated with her husband to the Washington, D.C.  metropolitan area. Upon relocating, Courtney joined a litigation firm in northern Virginia dedicated to representing health care providers in medical malpractice cases and in matters before the Medical Board.  In 2017, Courtney had the opportunity to move back to her home State of Texas.  She joined a large firm in downtown Houston as a Partner where she practiced casualty defense, and she then joined Cooksey Marcin, PLLC in 2018.

 

Courtney’s primary practice areas include Healthcare and Medical Malpractice Defense. She has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Virginia and Washington, D.C., and she was nominated to receive recognition as a Top 50 Houston Women Lawyer by the Texas Diversity Council.

 

Courtney lives in The Woodlands with her husband and their two beautiful daughters.  Courtney enjoys coaching her older daughter’s soccer team and cheering her younger daughter on at gymnastics.
