
Casey P. Marcin
Casey's primary areas of practice are in Healthcare, Medical Malpractice Defense, Energy & Utility, Oil & Gas, and Commercial Litigation.
She has monitored and analyzed contract requirements and made recommendations to Texas companies regarding strategies for maintaining corporate compliance and maximizing the benefits of relevant agreements. Casey has experience drafting, monitoring, negotiating, and litigating on standard energy, commercial, and healthcare contracts.
Casey has acted as counsel in several trials, matters, and hearings throughout the state including topics concerning energy regulation, violations of standard land and energy agreements, medical malpractice, and personal injury.
Casey has represented entities in retail electric disputes; Handled DTPA claims on behalf of Retail Electric Providers; Drafted and negotiated Master Service Agreements; Drafted Independent Contractor Agreements and Independent Contractor Operating Agreements; Drafted Trademark Licensing Agreements for entities; Advised E&P entities on litigation issues; Represented entities in administrative proceedings; Represented local entities in disputes before the Harris County Appraisal District; Represented nurses and hospitals in medical malpractice actions; Represented nurses and hospitals in matters involving the Texas Tort Claims Act; Drafted and negotiated contracts on behalf of local physicians; and Drafted annual reports on behalf of physicians for the OIG.
In December of 2004, Casey was proud to become a graduate of Texas Tech School of Law. While at Tech Law, Casey was an editor for the Texas Bank Lawyer, Technology Editor for the Texas Administrative Law Journal, a member of the Board of Barristers, and a member of Phi Delta Phi for academic accomplishment. Casey graduated magna cum laude from West Texas A&M University in May of 2002 where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree. Casey is happily married to Dr. Patrick Marcin and they have a handsome little boy and a beautiful daughter.
